The problem
An accounting firm processing receipts for 115+ clients was relying on a paid PDF-conversion service that kept breaking and racking up subscription fees. Each broken receipt was a manual fix.
What we built
We migrated the entire pipeline off the third-party service to OpenAI native PDF processing. One HTTP upload per receipt, one structured extraction call, validated output. The mass-patcher we built rolled the new architecture out across every client scenario in a single pass.
