Where ServiceTitan wins

ServiceTitan wins on openness. A contractor can register an app in the developer portal, have the tenant admin approve it, and call the API with OAuth2 client credentials. The limits are generous (60 calls a second per app per tenant, pages of up to 5,000 records), there is an integration environment cloned from production to test against, and the accounting list is the longest of the two, with a general CSV path for anything not listed. Reports export to PDF and Excel and can be scheduled.

  • Custom reporting and dashboards from job data
  • Lead routing and follow up from your own tools
  • Contractors on accounting systems beyond QuickBooks
  • Teams that want a test environment

Where FieldEdge wins

FieldEdge wins on QuickBooks. QuickBooks Online and Desktop integration is included on every plan, and FieldEdge sells it as a real time sync. For a shop whose main automation need is getting invoices and payments into QuickBooks without double entry, that comes in the box. FieldEdge has also begun opening its system to third party partners through a custom API, so the partner list is growing.

  • Shops where QuickBooks sync is the main need
  • Teams that want integrations included, not built
  • Owners who want built in call recording
  • Buyers happy to work through partner integrations

Pricing

ServiceTitan

The honest answer for automation

If you want to automate beyond accounting (lead routing, custom reporting, follow up, AI on job data), ServiceTitan is the one with a documented, self serve API, and it is what we would build on. Plan for polling, because general webhooks are not available yet, and read the API terms. If QuickBooks sync is the whole job, FieldEdge already does it on every plan, and its partner API is worth asking about before you assume anything custom is off the table.

Lean ServiceTitan

Lean ServiceTitan if you want to connect your own tools, reports and AI agents to job data through a documented API.

Lean FieldEdge

Lean FieldEdge if your main integration is QuickBooks and you would rather it come included than be built.

ServiceTitan vs FieldEdge: FAQ

Does ServiceTitan have an open API?
Yes. ServiceTitan's developer portal lets you create an app, which a tenant admin then connects and approves. Calls use OAuth2 client credentials plus an app key, with a default limit of 60 calls a second per app per tenant.
Does FieldEdge have an API?
FieldEdge runs a developer portal that provides API access to integrated partners. It does not publish endpoints, authentication or limits, and the route in is becoming a FieldEdge partner.
Does ServiceTitan support webhooks?
Not generally. ServiceTitan documents two Scheduling Pro webhook events in private preview for specific accounts. For everything else, an integration polls the API.
Do both integrate with QuickBooks?
Yes. FieldEdge includes QuickBooks Online and Desktop on every plan. ServiceTitan lists QuickBooks Online and Desktop among its accounting integrations, alongside NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Xero and Acumatica.
How much do ServiceTitan and FieldEdge cost?
Neither publishes prices. Both pricing pages ask you to request pricing, and ServiceTitan notes its pricing is per technician.
